The Curious Cat Cafe is a family run restaurant and sandwich bar situated on busy Abbey Street in Bangor right across from the Abbey Church and stunning Castle Park.

It offers its dedicated following of customers a delicious selection of fresh sandwiches, soups, stews, all day breakfasts and an extensive specials board that changes daily.  The Proprietor Amy Rafferty is dedicated to sourcing the ingredients as locally as possible to ensure they support other local and small businesses like themselves.  On your delicious All Day Ulster Fry you will be served Burns Butchers Award winning sausages, Northern Irish back Bacon, pan fried Northern Irish potato and soda bread and fresh tomatoes and mushrooms supplied by Clive's Country corner...and not to forget our locally sourced free-range eggs- fresh from Clement's farm.

The Cafe is renowned for its daily selection of gourmet homemade soups ranging from cream of irish fieldmushroom to traditional broths, tomato onion and lentil soup and the most popular Lentil, Pea and Ham Soup.

Your delicious fresh handmade to order sandwich (prepared in front of you) will be made using delicious freshly baked breads from Central Bakery, or try a wholesome granary sub roll from Sheridan Bakery .  You have to try out the mouthwatering Givan's cooked ham or the House smoked salmon fresh from Sean McKeown.

The thing that you won't believe is how reasonably priced the extensive sit in or take away menu is.  Eating fresh, delicious, local food does not cost you... in fact you will come away feeling only satisfied.

After enjoying a savoury feast, you must treat your self to a mouth watering Italian coffee or a loose leaf herbal tea... or a fresh handmade ice-cream milkshake, iced coffee or chai latte.  There are an extensive selection of freshly baked traybakes, scones and desserts... or even try a piece of apple crumble or traditional bread and butter pudding and custard lovingly created by the experienced chef.

And... don't forget to have a look at the original paintings and handmade prints on the walls by Amy and Alice Wyatt.
